Snoring and chronic daily headache are connected. Such researches were made while observing the snoring habits of people with chronic daily headache and people with occasional headaches.
Chronic daily headache is headache that occurs at least 15 times per month. Occasional headache occurs in two cases within 104 headaches per year.

People who suffer from chronic daily headache were twice prone to be chronic snorers comparing with people who suffer from occasional headaches. Such factors as body mass index and alcohol intake also influence snoring. Thus, as soon as snoring is treated, people's headaches are stopped or lessened. 206 people who are elder than18 and younger than 65 with chronic daily headache occurred for five years or less were observed for this experiment. 507 people, who suffered from occasional headache, were also involved in the research. The participants of the experiment were people, who had chronic headache with an average of 260 days per year and those, who had occasional headache with an average of 24 headache days per year.
The questions put to the participants were about the frequency of snoring.

Based on this information headache types were defined. Besides, it was found out that snoring is not influenced by gender, age, marital status and headache type. Among those who suffered from chronic daily headache were women, people who had a lower educational level and those who had been previously married (divorced, widowed or separated). Thus, this is a connection between snoring and chronic daily headache. Each of these items is prome to lead to the appearance of headaches. Chronic headache leads frequently to disturbed sleep and sedating medications applied against pain can aggravate sleep-disordered breathing. Sleep deprivation or excessive sleep can cause migraine attacks in some people as well.
