Sleep Position and Other Factors
snoring-factorsSnoring is a problem that causes problems and inconvenience for both, snorers and people, who surround him/her. That’s why it’s so important to find an effective cure for snorer. There are two spheres, to which efforts on cure and prevention of snoring can be targeted:

1. Sleep position.
Position of the body during sleep contributes to the quality of sleep. Sometimes such improvements as pillow or roll of fabric under the chin improve sleep greatly and reduce the symptoms of snoring and insomnia. This measure helps to keep the muscle tissues in the right position. A roll under the chin helps to keep the skin and muscles tight, thereby lessens the vibration of air in the throat, which causes snoring.

Some snorers prefer placing small pillow under the small of the back. This provides support for the stomach and enlarges the lungs. The air flow circulates easily when person sleeps with pillow under the back.

Snorers are not recommended to sleep on their back; it’s much better to sleep on side for reducing snoring symptoms. Also it’s much easier to keep one’s mouth closed while side-sleeping. But this not always helps because a lot of people snore not only with their mouth, but also with nose.

2. Other factors.
A place, where a person sleeps also matters. Such factor as the level of humidity in the room has to be taken into consideration while analyzing the environment: very dry air may be the reason of nasal congestion in some people. That’s why they should use a humidifier, especially in the winter when the air is very dry.

Ionizers of the air are also helpful for some snorers. They produce useful negative ions and clean the air. Snorers have to eliminate noise and light from the room during sleep time.
